Atlas Montgolfière's homepage promotes a Classic Flight down from 1,600 MAD to 800 MAD, a standard Classic Flight at 2,000 MAD and a Private Flight at 5,300 MAD.
Air Balloon Marrakech quotes a Sunrise Experience at €130 and a Private Experience at €430. An independent price guide lists Classic at 1,700 Dhs, Private at 5,000 Dhs and VIP at 6,000 Dhs. Those are the operators' own figures, set out here as published, not as a comparison with any platform price.

One operator, Hot Air Balloon Marrakech, states on its own FAQ that children aged 0 to 4 fly free, children aged 5 to 10 pay half, and everyone over 10 pays the adult rate, while it lists no adult price and asks you to request one. On the listings compared here the youngest stated age is 3, on Marrakech By Air, Sky Expérience and the Viator child band of Marrakech Dream Ballooning, which runs from 3 to 10. BallOOning Marrakech and MarrakeshBallooning exclude children under 4.

Balloon flying in Morocco is regulated, the operators publish different limits, and no flight is ever certain until the pilot calls it.
The regulator is the Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (DGAC) under the Ministry of Transport and Logistics. A balloon pilot licence is a distinct certified class on the DGAC's personnel page, and a company carrying paying passengers must hold a certificat technique d'exploitation (CTE). A DGAC circular note from 22 November 2022 sets maintenance rules for balloons on the Moroccan CN register. In February 2025 the Ministry authorized two new Marrakech operators, Sky Balloons and Mery Ballooning, under stated conditions: mandatory insurance or a financial guarantee for passenger injury, operating-zone approval requested at least 30 days ahead with local authorities and the Royal Gendarmerie notified before flying, dual VHF radios, a maximum altitude of 3,000 feet, a ban on flying over military installations and a ban on commercial aerial photography during flights.
What is not published matters too. The DGAC does not publish an accessible public roster of licensed Marrakech balloon operators, and no operator publishes incident or accident statistics for its own operation. One operator's FAQ says its pilots hold European licences and DGAC certification. Operators do cite licence numbers: one homepage prints Civil Aviation Authority Licence N° 2443/2007 and Air Operator Certificate N° CN-XT15/08.
There is no single site-wide weight limit. The listings state three different caps, so check yours against the right operator.

Every one of the listings checked lists pregnant travelers under not suitable for. It is the single most consistent exclusion across all operators. Minimum-age policies conflict between 3, 4, 5 and a flat industry minimum of 6 depending on the source, and one listing also caps participation at age 95, so confirm with the operator before booking a young child or an older relative.

The Viator listings compared here are flagged as cancellable for bad weather, with a 100% refund when cancelled a day or more ahead, and every GetYourGuide listing compared offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
None of that gives back the morning itself, so the practical rule is the one an operator gives: fly on your first full morning in Marrakech, and keep a second one free for a rebooked flight.

Marrakech By Air prints two licence numbers on its own homepage, Civil Aviation Authority Licence N° 2443/2007 and Air Operator Certificate N° CN-XT15/08.
Hot Air Balloon Marrakech says its pilots hold European licences recognised by the Moroccan civil aviation authority and that its balloons get a navigability check every six months. In February 2025 the Ministry of Transport authorised two more Marrakech companies, Sky Balloons and Mery Ballooning, which shows the licence list is still growing.
